Areas can be used to define routes, speed restrictions and other behaviour.

Some examples where Areas may be useful include setting up a reduced speed limit within an accommodation area or defining a route for a delivery.

Alerts can be configured using these Areas to notify management if any of the criteria have been broken.

When creating a route area, the start and end points may be selected using coordinates, addresses or points of interest.

Areas may also be referred to as Geofences.
